Baby help cracked ears from being so dry ehhh!?

my baby has very dry skin i have put lotion and vasaline and nothing seems to help. behind her ears it has cracked open and it stinks i have been perscribed nystatin because supposably she has a fngal infection has any ever expierienced a stinky smell with a fungal rash?
