Problems with belly ring?

Ive had my ring since march and have bee. Changing it since the end of may after the initial 8 weeks were up. Its been fine , i clean it faithfully etc. But yesterday when i was cleaning it in the shower , it really hurt to move it around. It was like it was stuck ! I squeezed it a bit to make sure there wasnt any discharge and i tiny bit came out. Usually that fixes it but it still hurt ! I figured id take the bar out , clean the hole like that then put the matching bar to the i had in(had just taken the off the last bar and replaced them). Well it took FOREVER to get the bar in ! I tried from the top and bottom and FINALLY it went through...hurt though -____- this morning it still hurts a bit to move. My friend said hers does that from time to time(shes had hers for a fee yrs) and that it just means its a little dry on the inside and to do the sea salt soak(which i havnt done in a while lol) anything els that will help ?
