Is it true that Charles has been accused by William of cowardice in face of the protestors?
I have heard that William irrupted into Charles' private office, ruddy faced and possibly drunk but in a towering rage at the rank cowardice Charles displayed in face of the gathered mob. William told him that as a mere pubertian, the young Richard II stared down an angry London mob and then had the perpitratr hanged. After which he allegedly slapped Charles across his mouth and left ina towering rage. Is this true and is there any scuttlebut on whether William went out afterwards with some of his SAS buddies to beat the bile less turd out of that rabble that terrorized a king in waiting?
