What do you think of the proposed legislation for the American government to apologize for slavery?

At what point does it end? Are we to apologize for everything? I'll tell you what. I'll apologize for slavery (that I didn't participate in) if the Democratic Party apologizes for Welfare. That was and is currently the most destructive thing that was ever imposed on people. The black and white poor families were decimated because the government took over the role of the father. Yeah, I'll apologize when the Dems do. Of course it won't do any good. Deeds are much better than words.
